May 18, 2024 we threw a little party at The Foundry in Waynesboro Va to celebrate 10 years of Shagwüf and we even made an hour-long movie out of it: Shagwüf Sweet Freakfilm.




My love for The Hold Steady is no secret to anyone that knows me. I first saw them circa 2006 in Ybor City at a dive bar with a little over 100 folks in a very jammed room. Fast forward to Labor Day weekend this year when they played to about 6,000 in the Twin Cities, MN. It’s been quite the journey.

This past week I have had the high honor of being featured on Terri Allard’s long-running PBS show Charlottesville Inside-Out and nationally on NPR World Cafe with host Kallao and I going on a walking tour of Charlottesville.
